Social media is not a fad…it’s a quick huge reality! ..besides the obvious reasons, it makes people feel more in contol, more powerful, like they can affect change or move things in a direction, get noticed, get access, and now with Twitter being so popular w celebs, actually get closer to all the things and people they want to know or emulate…it makes them feel more important.

Phil, I knew that Social Media has changed and continues to change the way things are being done. But I guess I didn’t realize the extent of it. What an eye opening concept!
We in the ministry (I am a Youth Pastor) have got to wake up and realize we’re being left behind if we’re not getting this right. Thanks for keeping us looking forward!

Facebook, myspace, twitter, etc. may be big but the vast majority of it is time wasting nonsense.

In all seriousness, use your creativity. Make a great product, give it away (even if it’s expensive!) to the early-adoptor/mavens (to use Malcolm Gladwell’s language). They’ll talk about it on.. social media.
Connectors will pick up this information, and re-share. You now have instant, free (for the cost of your product/service) advertising.
