It’s not the games; it’s the personalities.  We all struggle with something.  Addictions are a problem for most people, some more than others.

]]> By: Lisa Sutphin http://philcooke.com/phil_on_joyce_meyer/#comment-7346 Lisa Sutphin Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://philcooke.vintom.com/Phil_on_Joyce_Meyer#comment-7346 Wow!!!  I have watched, and recorded to share, you and Joyce the last two mornings.  This was so great and enlightening in that I have felt that I was the only one that felt this way and was just simply old fashion, even though I am only 47.  Although technology is, or at least supposed to be a good thing, I am so afraid of it being the ruination of our younger generation, not to mention the older generations as well.  I have told my step daughter that she needs to "call" her grandmother just to say hello and tell her what all is going on with her, only to get the response that there is nothing to talk to because she will just email her.  I would not dare recommend that she sit down and "handwrite" a letter.  The personal touch of communication is gone.  People have forgotten how much just the sound of a voice can change a person's whole day just to let them know that you care enough for them to take the time to personalize your contact with them.  It is so enlightening to know there are still a few people in Hollywood, such as yourself, that still have the faith and are there to fight to keep some morals in the media, although I am well aware that you are outnumbered.  I am so thankful that there are networks like Daystar and to some extent WGN and TBS that are not so narrowminded or financially driven to still have family values.  In my opinion, if there were more shows like 7th Heaven, there might be a chance.  I just want to thank you and give you the encouragement to keep up the fight!!!  God be with you. For someone living outside of the United States, Hollywood is one of the last places I'd think about where one could find persons of moral uprightness. I guess there still is hope. The programmes yesterday and this morning were really enlightening and encouraging. I just hope those of us who were privileged to see the programmes will make more conscious decisions about what we watch and listen to and where possible, try to enlighten others.
