Reach Conference 2007: Leonard Sweet and Phil Cooke

 <itunes:author>Phil Cooke</itunes:author>

REACH 2007 is a unique opportunity to connect with visionaries, futurists, media strategists, and producers who understand the next generation of media and recognize how it will change the world. These are the people defining media in a postmodern culture … the ones who are making Christian media relevant to today's generation.

Leonard Sweet is futurist writer who leads the church in encountering the next generation of ministry.

Currently Leonard is the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Drew Theological School, Madison, NJ, and Visiting Distinguished Professor at George Fox University, Portland, OR. He is the author of more than one hundred articles, 600 published sermons and thirty books. Leonard's three-ring mission: 1) as a historian of American culture; 2) as a futurist/semiotician who "sees things the rest of us do not see, and dreams possibilities that are beyond most of our imagining;" and 3) as a preacher and writer who communicates the gospel powerfully to a postmodem age by bridging the worlds of academe and popular culture. In 2006 he was voted "One of the 50 Most Influential Christians in America" (www.thechurchreport.com).

Phil Cooke is President & Creative Director of Cooke Pictures, based in Santa Monica California, and founding partner in the TV commercial company "Thomas Winter Cooke." As a producer and consultant, Phil is the guiding media strategist for many of the largest and most effective faith based organizations and ministries in the world, and speaks at workshops, seminars, and conferences on a global basis. He's a regular guest commenting on issues of faith and the media at news networks like MSNBC and CNN. The author of two books on religious media, he may be the only working producer in Hollywood with a Ph.D. in Theology. His respected online blog at philcooke.com is considered one of the most insightful resources on the web on issues of faith, culture, and media.
