Maven: A maven (also mavin) is a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others. The word maven comes from the Hebrew, via Yiddish, and means one who understands, based on an accumulation of knowledge. // Good word choice.

Once worked for a mega church with a tv show airing worldwide. For the USA broadcast the toll free phone number mentioned via graphics tat viewers could call between 8am-9am Monday thru Friday for counseling.

As programme producer I asked during a creative meeting "why only 8-9 a.m.?" Because that's when prayer counselors are available, I was told. I said, "what if a person is considering suicide, is watching the programme and wants to speak urgently to a counselor at 2 a.m.?" The response, was, "well we're here from 8-9 a.m."

My response: "I guess the suicidal person will have to put the gun down and wait to call til the morning."

They were not amused. Nor did they make a change. I lasted less than a year.
