HD Myths

There’s a lot of myths out there regarding next year’s transition to digital television.  Here’s a few simple facts:

1) When the digital transition happens, it involves how a program is distributed, not produced.   They’ll still be showing analog programs.  After all, what would we do without “I Love Lucy” and “Hogan’s Heroes?”
2) Producers can still shoot in analog.  Shooting and editing isn’t
the issue.  So continue to shoot whatever you want.  SD, HD, Analog, Digital, whatever.
3) At home, only over the air reception will be affected.  If you have cable or satellite, you can still watch on your old analog TV.  The cable or satellite companies will do the conversion.
