Maybe that's the reason Scripture is so quick to point out that nothing about Jesus Himself was charismatic or made Him stand out from others around Him. The strength of ministry always begins personally, and always with humilty and total surrender. You cannot have one without the other!

The only Superstar in the Christian world should be Jesus. No one else died on the Cross for us Christians and paid the price for us to have Grace (unmerited favor) and access to God but Jesus. Men and women are infallible and may slip and fall, then we are ashamed and the Church is mocked and ridiculed but if we keep our eyes on the real prize (Jesus) we will not go wrong!
