Dan Nuckolls Update
A number of years ago, I was lucky enough to hire Dan Nuckolls to run Cooke Pictures, and it was a great decision. Dan had worked for Joel Osteen’s TV station in Houston, then run another media production company in Hollywood, helped us into our first Avid, brought brilliant producer and editor Brian Mead to the team, and helped me start thinking of us as a real “company” rather than me simply being a freelance producer.
After helping us get to the next level, Dan moved to Joyce Meyer Ministries in St. Louis as their Director of Communication and Media. Joyce was a client, and as much as I hated to lose him, even I had to see it was a terrific fit. (Plus, how do you say “no” to Joyce?) Dan had a really strong background in graphic design and print, and coupled with his work with us in management, was ready to step up to the next level himself.
But after some time with Joyce Meyer Ministries, Dan experienced a life-threatening basil artery stroke. We thought at first he might not make it, but with Dan’s usual tenacity, and the incredible support of his wife and kids, he’s made a remarkable recovery. And although Dan’s not out of the woods entirely, he’s back in the design game, and recently launched a new communications company called Nuxx Media.
Here’s a better update on his situation, and I would encourage you to consider Dan for your next project – particularly when it comes to design and print. He’s also networked with partners in video editing, brand consulting and more. His talent is back in full operating mode. As you can see in the link, there’s a few more steps he needs to take, but that hasn’t crimped his design genius.
So the next time you have a project, I suggest you contact Dan and give him a shot. Not only will you get great work done, but it will help make a dramatic difference for Dan and his family.
