An accurate description of the state of play – and the best illustration of this is Palin's response to the "Bush Doctrine" question. Democrats feel that a qualified VP should know exactly what is meant by the term – Republicans overlook this hiccup and are more interested with Palins "values".

Thats my analysis anyway, as a conservative on the other side of the world who knew exactly what the "Bush Doctrine" meant (and thinks it's unbalanced).

Lee Siegel takes the position that Democrats value real political change whearas Republicans just try to stoke the flames of right wing Christian theology. This concept is completely ridiculous. The Republican principles of the limited role of government are equally as meaningful as the principles of socialism that the Democrats promote. Republicans get in trouble when they adopt the socialist policies of democrats. This is when real change is hampered. Democrats get into trouble when they adopt their own policies because socialism doesn't work.

In regard to the "Bush doctrine" there is no concrete definition to this term. Talking heads will raddle off at least five different possibilities of what can be meant by the term because it is really just a cliche used by people who like to blame Bush for every social ill on the planet.

This is probably the wrong place to put this but I wanted to let you know that the NRB Presidents Council was amazing. Republican or Democrat our Christian heritage is so embedded into our history and it is absolutely amazing to me how the Liberals and Liberal media are attempting to take Christianity out of our history.

The NRB President’s Council that was located in Washington DC. We were fortunate enough to have some of the finest Senators and Congressmen hosting us and escorting us through the capital building, and white house press conferences and National Press Club. I appreciate the NRB more than I ever have in years past. I am so excited that Dr Frank Wright and the NRB team has the ears of so many policy makers and FCC commissioners.

I was especially impacted by our tour of the capital building hosted by Congressman Robert Aderholt, and our tour guide David Barton. I was actually moved, and motivated, by David Barton. I encourage all who are reading this to go to www.wallbuilders.com.

David Barton is Time magazines top 25 most influential evangelicals and his breadth of knowledge certainly proved it to me. After hearing him speak I was upset at how creative the liberal agenda has to be to take Christianity out of our American heritage. It is absolutely crazy, how embedded Christianity is in our culture and history, and how we never hear about it. Its time to make a change!!!

Phil, for now it looks like Fairness Doctrine is dead issue, however Hate Crimes is gaining some ground.
